I’m just another foreigner living in Japan. I live in South Tokyo just outside of the huge ex-pat community. I hope that what you find here in these pages will be useful, informative, entertaining, or some combination of the three. And, if you have anything you’d like to share, feel free. I, for one, enjoy learning new things and hope to learn something from everyone who has something they want to share here. So come on in, browse, and share.

+50 for Tesla: Man out of Time–
kinda sad how few people realize this man’s contributions to society…
You know it, Codedals!
Reading that book is what lit a fire under my ass to go to uni and study physics. I started questioning anything and everything. I wanted to know how the world and indeed, the universe worked. I was hugely inspired by Tesla’s life. Even though I gave up my career as a scientist, I still keep up with it as a hobby.
You know, the U.S. Supreme court officially ruled that the invention of radio credit to goes to Tesla, not Marconi. But, ignorant (or stubborn)people still credit Marconi today. Nuts!
Anyway, thanks for the comment, Codedals.
For the non-fiction section:
“Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance”

P.S. I will make my own icon for the link to this blog unless you have a request?
Ok, Chris. How about 4 more for your book list? I’m looking forward to them.
I don’t really have a request for an icon, so I’ll leave it up to you.
Cheers!

****Michio Kaku makes things like string theory and Q Physics accessible to the average person.
The 2pac book boggles the mind since he was killed on the Vegas strip during a fight night and it remains unsolved?? Imagine if it were a senators daughter that was killed in the middle of Vegas…would that be unsolved??…. of course not.****
That completes my 5!!!
p.s.
I got a link to you now!
I may change the image later but it will do for now!
Thanks, Chris.
Yeah, I read something by Kaku before I majored in physics. I also heard a couple of interviews with him on Art Bell about 9 years ago. You’re right, he’s really good at explaining concepts. You really should check out ‘In Search of Schroedinger’s Cat’ if you’re interested in quantum mechanics; it’s pretty thorough for a layman’s book. Even though I took q-mechanics courses for years in uni and grad school, I still love that book for its simplicity.
I’d like to read that book on Tupac. There’s an interesting history there, not only with him, but also his mother. I’m listening to Rage right now and am glad Zack didn’t get his ass shot. Amazing those guys are still rocking into their 40’s.
Thanks again. Happy Holidays!
